Day 1
The colt was left snoozing in his stall. I didn't bother him to talk to him and let him just enjoy his break.
Zazzy still looked tired from the Derby. This was normal, I was just worried that he looked too tired and wouldn't be able to run in the Preakness well.
I had decided that night of the Derby win, I would make a schedule for him. Normally I would play it by ear, but I've never tried for the crown before. I just hope it will help.
I walked out side where press were still sitting, still wanting a glance at this colt. I never got attention like this for the Breeder's Cup. Maybe a day or two of a few reporters, but never this many. It was like Confianza was a sudden celebrity over night, and he didn't know how to handle it.
I strolled over to the bulletin board and took a loose tac and pinned a paper to the board.
