[/i]Rider: Toby Lettington
Horse: Que Bar
Purpose: Practicing Freestyle to Rollin' by Big and RichBrother and sisters
Que Bar's hooves lightly scuffled the floor as he picked up an slow jog, his head in a low head set. His muscles rippled under his thin hide.We are here for one reason
And one reason alone
To share our love of music
With a push of my leg, Que Bar started to jog to the side, each small stride over lapping the other.I present to you
Country music without prejudice, hey
Finally the music started to play and Que Bar picked up an easy lope. His front leading leg kept in beat with the music playing in the arena. We started to lope a large circle which.Country boys don't rock and roll
Our circle soon turned into a figure eight, changing leads once in the middle to stay on the correct lead.Yeah the record man told me so
Yeah you'll never get it on the radio
The circles became bigger and Que started to lope faster.
Why they trying to complicate
The simple music that we make
Oh cause if it moves my soul
I'm gonna keep on rollin, rollin
[/i]The simple music that we make
Oh cause if it moves my soul
I'm gonna keep on rollin, rollin
Finally Que was galloping at full speed around the arena, still keeping enough control to do the figure eight and lead changes.
Hey, just wanna hear everybody sing (rollin', rollin')
[/i]Finally, I straightened Que out and kicked him into full gear.
At the top of your lungs till the windows break (rollin', rollin')
[/i]Dirt flew behind the chestnut stallion's hind legs as he slid to a stop.
Say hey, hey, hey
[/i]Que spun on his heels now and galloped full speed back the direction he had came. As he rounded around the corner of the arena he picked up even more speed then slammed on the breaks again. Dirt flew away from his body as he slide to a stop. Immediately he started to spin, his front hooves hitting the dirt in rhythm to the beat of the song once again.
I ain't gonna shut my mouth
Don't mind if I stand out in a crowd
[/i]Don't mind if I stand out in a crowd
I let Que get his bearing for a heart beat before he started to lope again, taking the same pattern as last time.
Just wanna live outloud
Well I know there's got to be
A few hundred million more like me
[/i]Well I know there's got to be
A few hundred million more like me
Once again, Que picked up rapid speed and came to run along side the walls of the arena.
Just trying to keep it free, yeah
[/i]Dirt flew from his hind legs, as if they were sliding along water instead of dirt.
Hey, just wanna hear everybody sing (rollin', rollin')
At the top of your lungs till the windows break (rollin', rollin')
[/i]At the top of your lungs till the windows break (rollin', rollin')
Que was sent back to the fast pattern of the figure eight, always keeping time with the music and always listening to every cue.
Say hey, hey, hey
[/i]Que slide to a stop once more, though this time not getting as much speed into the slide but still made impressive distance none the less. Once he came to a complete halt, he spun quickly around his hind legs, keeping in rhythm to the song's beat.
Charlie Pride was the man in black
Rock and roll use to be about Johnny Cash
[/i]Rock and roll use to be about Johnny Cash
He stopped spinning and picked up his lope again, starting his figure eight pattern that has grown much smaller since the song started, making the turns tighter and the time between the lead changes shorter. If it was difficult, Que didn't show an ounce of it.
Yeah whatcha think about that
[/i]Now Que picked up speed again and came to another sliding stop. He quickly started to back up all the way across the arena, as if he was retracing his steps.
Well I'm a crazy son-of -a-(bad word)
[/i]Que spun on his hind a full 180 degrees and started to lope the different direction at the end of this verse.
But I know I'm gonna make it big and rich
Yeah I'm gonna let it rip
[/i]Yeah I'm gonna let it rip
Quickly Que slide to another sliding stop, dirt rolled over his hind legs, flying away from him.
Hey, just wanna hear everybody sing (rollin', rollin')
At the top of your lungs till the windows break (rollin', rollin')
Say hey, cowboy Troy
[/i]At the top of your lungs till the windows break (rollin', rollin')
Say hey, cowboy Troy
Que picked his easy lope now, doing the same pattern of the ever smaller figure eight.
Cowboy Troy
[/i]On cue, the pony picked up a quick jog.
Dum-diggity-dum, diggity-diggity-dum dig this
Slicker than the grease from a BBQ Briskit
Got more chunk than a fresh potato salad
You thought you had your answer
But your answer was invalid

But your answer was invalid
Use my legs, I had Que half passing back and forth around the arena.
Your looking at me crazy cause you think I'm loco
[/i]Que picked up his lope again now, loping easily around the arena.
The big black cowboy, with the crazy vocal
Todas las personas gritando arriva
Now you heard it, now I know you a believer
[/i]Todas las personas gritando arriva
Now you heard it, now I know you a believer
Every now and then Que would switch his leads on command.
Esta cancion es para toda la gente
Es muy importante a usar su mente
So let go of all your preconcieved notions
Get up on your feet and put your body in motion
[/i]Es muy importante a usar su mente
So let go of all your preconcieved notions
Get up on your feet and put your body in motion
The chestnut pony now moved in a near-gallop around the arena. He cute across on loose rein, switching his leads directly in the middle and changing the direction he was travalling.
Cause back home we love to dance
We could be two-stepin, or ravin' to trance
And when the party is crunk, the girls back it up
[/i]We could be two-stepin, or ravin' to trance
And when the party is crunk, the girls back it up
Now Que Bar galloped quickly around the long sides of the arena while one of my arms was out stretch as if I was at a show, trying to rally up the fans.
We got the systems in the cars and the 20's on the trucks
6 foot four with a cowboy hat

Soon Que Bar was galloping back in his tight figure eight again. The difficulty of the move started to show slightly, but the great stallion never missed a step.
I dont mess around, yo what's up with that
I'm cowboy troy, a texas hick
And I'm rollin with the brothers
[/i]I'm cowboy troy, a texas hick
And I'm rollin with the brothers
The Quarter Pony stallion leaped into a quick gallop along the long side of an arena.
Big and Rich
[/i]Que Bar's gallop was cut short as he slide to a stop now, making an impressive skidding distance.
Go cowboy go cowboy go
[/i]I gave Que Bar a heart beat to get prepared then I spun him quickly to the right, almost making me dizzy with how quickly he spun.
Go cowboy go cowboy go
[/i]Quickly Que changed his direction of spinning and spun to the left, making me almost ill now. You think after riding him so much I would get use to it.
Hey, just wanna hear everybody sing (rollin', rollin')
At the top of your lungs till the windows break (rollin', rollin')
Say hey, hey, hey
[/i]At the top of your lungs till the windows break (rollin', rollin')
Say hey, hey, hey
Now Que galloped along the long sides of the arena. He almost seemed to be flying at the speed he traveled. As he galloped to one side of the arena I raised my arms again, practicing how to steer the stallion across the arena with my legs while I tried to rally up the make-believe audience.
Hey, just wanna hear everybody sing (rollin', rollin')
At the top of your lungs till the windows break (rollin', rollin')
Say hey, hey, hey
[/i]At the top of your lungs till the windows break (rollin', rollin')

I galloped Que around a few more times until the song almost ended. I turned him towards the center and urged him as fast as possible. I calucalted it correctly and pulled him up just in time for his sliding stop to have him in the dead center of the arena.
I smiled approvingly at the stallion. Atta boy! I praised, giving a light pat on his shoulder and sweaty neck. I hopped off, gave another pat then walked off without so much as touching the reins. Que followed willingly after me. Heck, I could have stopped and he would have just kept going to the cross ties. He had grown use to our routine too much.[/blockquote][/blockquote][/size]
